Baba Kahn, is without question Canada’s premier and most celebrated club DJ. Few can begin to touch the scope of his two decade-long success within the industry. As an international phenom, Baba Kahn has built a massive following that not many DJ’s have come close to matching. His adoring fans and pervasive appeal have led to Kahn being awarded Canada’s #1 Club DJ Five times and most recent was given the prestigious Anokhi Magazine DJ of the Decade Award.
Baba Kahn has a made an incredible name in this genre by pioneering the fusion mix of east and west like no other.. This continuous onslaught helped create a community following that would eventually lead to larger shows and concerts in both markets with stars such as: 50cent, Sean Paul, Sharukh Kahn, Destinys Child, Beenie Man, Ashwariya Rai, Ne-yo, T-pain and many more.
The next natural step in the evolution of Baba Kahn’s career was taking his skill set as a DJ and his loyal fan base towards the second phase of his career as a producer and creating his own Record label and Management Company 747 Records Entertainment. In doing so he created an original movement in North America that had never been witnessed before inking a deal with Universal Music Canada for the first ever East meets West Mix CD entitled Culture Shock.
This overwhelming support and success of the Culture Shock sound led to official remixes with today’s biggest stars including Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Sean Paul, Alesha Dixon, Nicole Scherzinger, Justin Bieber, Jay Sean and Far East Movement.
With incredible world wide appeal and the industry buzzing here at home in the North America, Baba Kahn created history again by establishing the first ever South Asian Fusion Radio show on mainstream FM Radio Dial called “The Fix” Culture Shock Radio. The show currently on G98.7FM Sunday Nights 11pm-2am is the top rated specialty show on the station and his Wrath of Kahn Podcast are Ranked #1 in the World Music Category. This put the seal of approval on the fusion sound and branded Baba Kahn as an ambassador for the urban world sound in Canada and around the world.
